The state legislature if reviewing how e-bikes and higher powered E-motorcycles or E-motos should be regulated. The focus appears to be on classifying E-powered two wheeled vehicles that do not meet the Federal definition of an E-bike as either a motorcycle or a new class of licensed vehicle. Federal law classifies E-bikes as consumer products which are exempt from the requirements governing motor vehicles.
